jerseybuddha
what's the purple? And besides buying a bottom pouring pot. What's best way to pour? Ladle? Crappie pourer that came with it makes the lead fluffy and a mess.

Jig Man
Best way to pour depends on what you are pouring. I use a ladle for most of my pouring. Palmer does make a pot that has a spout to pour directly. Always had problems with mine either clogging up or dripping. On lead, I prefer the soft lead that you get from plumbers supply places (5# ingots) to wheel weights. A lot of non-lead stuff that goes into wheel weights. Wheel weights do fine for some molds, not so much for others.
jerseybuddha
might be dirty. Needs to be sorted. But free is for me. Couple lead hammers in there. Not alot of steel ones in there. But alot of the fake tape weights in it. More bricks for my collection
BLT
I got over 800 pounds of w/w's in the shed waiting to be melted down. Get mine free....so I use it. Mix it with the soft lead. Bad thing about w/w's, if you only use that and sell sinkers/jigs, they most times are not the weight they are to be. A 4 oz. Spro may only weigh 3.6oz. Those other metals they add to w/w's are not as heavy as the lead. As much as they charge for sinkers right now, people want a 7oz. sinker when they pay for it, not a 6.4oz. Roto-Metals web site has 99% pure lead .....51-55# shipped to your house for $115.
