ottz700
Dishwasher washes load of dishes and cups but they stink like rotten eggs! Anyone have an idea why?
Wayne Tj
I thought you were talking about sports jocks. Anyway... Check that the sprayer nozzles in those rotating arms are not clocked. If so, use a pin or wire to clear them. This is your delivery method for the water rinse, which is important for cleaning. The second item to check is the trap/screen in the bottom of the washer - there could be foul decaying food there that needs to be discarded. The last item would be the soap dispenser not opening at the correct time in the wash cycle. Check the first two as they are easy DIY tasks and the most likely causes. GetDaGaff
Do you have well water? The rotten egg smell is some type of bacteria. If you think health care is expensive now, wait until it's free.

epanzella
If you have a well you may have some organic matter in the well. The more often you run the water to a fixture the less you smell it. You don't use the DW as much as bath lav or kit sink so you smell it there the most. If you have a bath sink you rarely use it'll probably smell there too. If it does a dump gallon of Clorox in the well and then run it out the faucets till Clorox is gone. Bergallmaster
do a seach on how to clean the trap/ filter. its not hard but not as easy as just look and clean. you have to remove the bottom sprayer arm and about 4 screws. the human race has proved darwins theory of evolution wrong. we let the dumb survive. Depends of the machine - I can do it in my Miele without any tools for the filter and arms. It's so easy that a caveman can do it - except my wife.
