WTB 12wt Saltwater Reel

Recommended Posts

Wow. These are all REALLY great offers. Thank you. I am going to hold out for a day or two to see if anything shows up closer to my price range.

I am not interested in the J. Ryall.

Are there any used Lamsons? More used Orvis? Ross? Nautilus? Just looking for something a little closer to $200. Thanks.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.

I have a Lamson Velocity Hard Alox 4 that has been pulling backup duty since I got a Tibor...  It has a little rock rash but nothing major and no internal problems. Conical sealed drag, etc.

I'd be willing to let it go for $ 150 shipped?  Let me know if you're interested and i'll try to post a pic.

Lamson Velocity 4 Hard Alox.. Don't know year.  You can see any scrapes/flaws in the pics.  It runs great internally.  The last pic has little white marks just inside the drum... that's glare from the lube not corrosion.

The sinking line on it is NOT for sale.  But to give you an idea of capacity, there's about 250 yds. of 30# backing and a 500 gr. sinker with plenty of room to spare on it. I'd say if you lose 50 yds. of the backing you could fit a 12 wt floater... or just run a sinker on it as is.  Backing included if you're interested.

Your call --- you mentioned a Lamson is why I even thought of it!
