NJTramcar
Kids sometimes a get a bad rap and sometimes they even deserve it. Not this time. A fire in an apartment complex in a nearby town destroyed a few units. One of the units was owned or rented by one of the security guards at the middle school. He smelled the smoke from the unit already burning and left his unit to awaken people. He saved some of his neighbors lives but could not get back in to his unit to get any of his clothes or belongings. He lost everything. He is a young man (25 years old I was told) that works as a guard at nights in a prison and then works during the day at the school. He is not married and doesn't have any family around. He is one of my daughter's and many other kids favorite staff member there. In just a few days, they have raised over $11,000 on line to help him, most in donations of $5-$50 while leaving messages of support. Well done to the kids! Tom T
This whole crowdsourcing thing or whatever the term is for raising money on the internet is really neat. We had an unfortunate thing happen to a hockey player here in NJ, within a week north of 25k was raised for the family and it went significantly up from there. The injured young guy and my nephew ,a St. Rose hockey player are good friends. My nephew is also a musician and has done some fund raising gigs at some local venues. That young man has done, and is doing, a lot of great work for the cause. My son may know him, he is friendly with a couple St. Rose guys as he played club hockey with them. My guy plays for MHSN. Bass Ackwards
I love hearing stories like this (not about the guy losing every thing), two thumbs up for the kids. fishinambition Posted June 30 ·After a decade and a half of trolling and disrupting the website, frank's finally fed up with Tim's bull****
