1dozenraw
I'm looking for an early edition 706. I am not a collector. Not terribly concerned about what it looks like.... within limits. I have a couple of honey colored glass rods and I'd like a green 706 for them... that's what guys were using when I was young.... Price will determine whether I end up owning one. I do have some plugs that I might trade.... nothing like Habs or GRS.... just good semi custom catchers. May also having other trade items... let me know what the price is and/or what you might be looking for in a trade. If you have one, post in the thread... not by PM. Thanks. IgotWood
I've got a few green 706 and 704's. I'll dig them out tonight after work and post some pics. They all are bailess, and in good shape. I am actually thinking about greasing a couple of them for this season. Haven't fished with them since I was a kid. I'll get back to you this evening. Great and thanks. I'd only be interested in the 706s. I have a couple of 706Zs, but the greenie would be perfect for the honey Lamiglas. "We eat cold eels and think distant thoughts" Jack Johnson. RIsurffishing
Kevin, I have a 706 greenie with box, but I do not know if I want to get rid of it. Would depend on what you have for trade? Been looking for a long cast spinning reel, like the old version Daiwa emblem? Anything like that? Thanks

You said you have a couple honey colored rods. Any of them lamis? I've been looking for a 10 or 11 foot honey lami and have a mint 704 greenie that has been repainted a slightly off shade of original green. If you might be interested I'll post a picture. All you'll will need is a bailess kit that seem to be not that hard to find.

IgotWood
Very smooth, and makes no noise. No squeeks, and drag is nice and smooth.
