My father passed away peacefully at 7:30 this morning.

Born during the Depression.

Earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star fighting with the 1st Marine Division in Korea, including at the Chosin Resevior.

Returned home to raise two sons who were the first in his clan to graduate from college.

Lost his wife (my mother) to cancer when she was only 50.

Retired after over 30 years with the US Post Office as a letter carrier in upstate (Cortland) NY.

Life member of the VFW, Marine Corps League, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and the Elks.

Avid bowler and golfer.

Long time Boy Scout Leader

Taught me to fish.

A very well respected man in his community, with a well earned reputation for honesty, being there when you needed him, and hard work.

I'll miss shooting the bull and having beers with you Dad. You were the best!

Love,

Mike

Sorry Mike!

Your dad will live forever as Marine Corps battle history will never be forgotten.

Prayers sent your way.

The village, which had stood for maybe 1,000 years, didn't know we were coming that day. If they had, they would have run. boB was at the eye of our rage. And through him, our Captain Ahab. He would set things right again. That day, we loved him.

My condolences to you and your family Mike. fighting with the Marine Corps in Korea I would imagine he had some amazing stories and experiences........ He's joking around right now with some of the boys from the 1st Marine division, this of course was after giving your Mom a great big hug and kiss...... :)

So sorry

"Lucky" is a fictional character on the interwebs. Nothing "Lucky" says or does can be or should be construed as a real thought by an actual person. Objects in your rear view mirror may appear to be closer than they actually are.

Sorry for your loss Mike. :(

My condolences to you and your family. He sounded like a great man.
