Why libs fight tooth and claw against voter ID laws.

The first most obvious reason is that they aren't put off by the possibility of voter fraud. It doesn't concern them and some might even say that they appreciate well executed voter fraud and like keeping that option open for themselves. But the more likely reason is that you need to have an ID in order to be functional in this society. If you don't have an ID, you really aren't functional and the more dysfunctional someone is, the more certain they are to vote for a democrat. Here illegally? Batspit crazy and living on the street? Can't read or write because you're an idiot? So old and senile that you don't know what year it is and get all confused when you try to vote because you can'd find Harry Truman on the ballot? Democrat supporters one and all. The less in touch someone is with reality and the more dysfunctional they are, the more democrats want them to vote. Telling, isn't it?

I think we should do MORE to make the elections accessible to the general public,

not seek to make them more restrictive.

I think it should be more accessible to CITIZENS, not "the general public". Your ID card would demonstrate that you are, in fact, who you say you are and are actually a citizen of this country and, therefore, legally qualified to vote.

Now, granted, that terrible inconvenience of showing the thing you have with you to buy cigarettes or liquor or cash a check or fly on a plane or drive a car or get social security benefits or... (the list goes on and on and on).... not a problem for any functional citizen.

did our founding fathers require voter ID cards?

this is just a GOP way of trying to turn away eligible voters.......

why pretend otherwise,

your own posts give you away,

in your minds you are losing because OVER 50% have figured out how to get stuff from you..... so logically the only recourse is to deny enough of that 51+% in order to swing the elections back

just own your crap,

your intentions and motivations are clear......

pretending otherwise is silly,

starting a thread with a bunch of insults doesn't change the fact.

right wingers seem to embrace the idea they need LESS voter turnout in order to win,

so they are working to make that happen.

Utter nonsense but funny Robert

How do you Ohio?

Actually, it's a lot truer than is politically expedient for you to admit, LOL. The dumber or crazier someone is, the more certain they are to be a democrat.

Ohio has been awesome. I can't tell you how good it feels to get away from the liberal insanity of the northeast. I think about how much different life is for me here damned near every day because it's just such a nice thing to think about. :)

two centuries have passed without them, and it's EASIER now to prove who you are then it was back then.

Kind of like health insurance!

The vast number of ineligible voters and the fact that dead people and cats vote tells us that elections are somewhat accurate at best. If we can force all Americans to navigate a broke-ass website to get health insurance, it seems like it would be much less intrusive to have them show that they are eligible to vote.
