I am only an expert with my 4 or 5 machines, but if in doubt, clean the carb. It took a little while to do the first one, but I can pull a carb and give it a quick cleaning, without a full rebuild, in less than 20 minutes and don't worry too much anymore if I let a machine  sit unused longer than expected. They are all of similar design and it usually turns out to be a  visibly gummed up screen, or maybe some gum on the needle.

Does it have a primer bulb? Make sure you are priming it. Usually the difference between a "cold start" and a warm one is the presence of fuel in the carb.

It is primed, sometimes too much out of frustration.

Change the fuel to high test.

Using 89 octane as recommended in manual.

Is this an old blower? Sometime the primer bulbs lose their seal and don't really put fuel in the carb.

Try cold start using either. If it starts right up you know it's a fuel supply issue.

Sometimes if I am having a hard start problem I give it a shot of carb cleaner and a couple pulls and walk away for a few hours. Amazing how often it just loosens crap up and once it starts you don't have another problem. If that doesn't work it's usually a carb cleaning or rebuild.

Unit is 4-5 yrs. old. Tried the either yesterday (a lot) and same problem. Once it got started, first pull every time after.

My next try.

I would get a gasket and diaphragm kit for that carb. The diaphragm is probably getting stiff from age.

There's no need to blow smoke up my ass as a lengthy preamble to your insulting another person. It doesn't fool anyone and it doesn't garner any favor.

Not being a mechanic, I looked it up on the web. There is a gasket & diaphragm under the primer bulb and another set under the metal cover. Change both sets?

You can get the carb kit two ways, just the gaskets and diaphragm, and the full kit.

Be very carful to replace the parts you take out with the ones that match from the kit.

Also remember to put them back in the same order, and keep it clean.
