Delaware Surf Fishing Tag

Hi -

How do folks handle having their surf tag on their cooler/rod rack and trying to go into a park or the beach without the rack? I don't always have the rack but it covers the plate when it is on. I notice you can by a new plate for cheap enough, but what about another sticker? This is for the same vehicle.

Has anyone else done purchased an extra plate and sticker?

Thanks

Rich

My tag is on my rack and i got tired of taking it off and putting it on my truck. I use the parks enough besides fishing that I purchased a sticker for my window (cheaper than another plate and tag) and use it to get in when the rack is off.

I live in MD which means you need a front tag all the time. I have a single front mount reciever hitch and had a double tag adaptor made up that hold 2 tags. I had a cooler rack made up that hold the tag adapter. So when the rack is on the tag is in the receiver of the rack and when the rack is off the tag is in the receiver of the truck. Delaware clearly states the tag must be in plain view on the front of the vehicle. I used to lay the tag on my dash so it can be seen from the front. A couple of rangers told me the tag needs to be on the front of the truck not layin on the dash.

I just keep the tag on the truck. They are ok with peeking through when you have your rack on. More space to see there than you may think, at least with my off the shelf rig.

The fish are someplace else, unless your somplace else; in which case they are somplace elser.
