As usual, post reports here.......as little or as much detail as you would like to provide the reader. Please don't post specific street names or areas. Sometimes just a town name is too much information! Doing so only adds to the traffic in certain areas and it might cause an internet feud. For example, you can say that you caught fish in Ocean County but saying that you got them at Ocean Beach is a no-no. Feel free to share any thoughts you might have on local conditions and "I got the old skunkaroo" reports" are OK too.

Some popular acronyms:

SH- Sandy Hook

NoMoCo- Northern Monmouth County

SoMoCo- Southern Monmouth County

SFZ-Spring Fling Zone (SRI-Shark River Inlet to MI- Manasquan Inlet)

OC Ocean County

IBSP-Island Beach State Park

LBI- Long Beach Island

AC- Atlantic County

CISP- Corson's Inlet State Park

CMC- Cape May County

CMR- Cape May Rips

"In the back" - Rivers and Bays

Lets see if we can get more posts that are about actually catching fish this month. I am going out tomorrow afternoon for my first attempt in Nov.

Let this picture be some motivation for everyone...

Let's Go !!!!

You are just a dirty, smelly fisherman. If a hot girl is making eye contact with you, she is probably a hooker.

Is that you with the cow, Eric?

If it is then I believe Eric's real name is al McReynolds

"The club tournaments are NOT the problem, in fact the clubs are part of the solution, helping to organize us recreational fishermen.
It's the - kill every one I catch, the lookymee tackle shop video guys, and especially the charter boats, that are the real problem on the rec side." Sudsy
"I object to fishing tournaments less for what they do to fish than to fisherman. They have invaded one of the last refuges of civilized man, transmuted a noble art into something it isn't and shouldn't be... To speak nothing of the repulsive butchery and waste." - Ted Williams

HAHA... no dude. Yeah as mentioned in the prior post that is Al McReynolds. He is the NJ record holder. That was caught back in the early 80's. His story is also a sad one too. When he caught that fish, I was probably about 15 yrs old.  My pic is on the avatar. I am not the best looking guy but I definitely have seen fewer harsh winters than Al.

Just checked the Manasquan surf cam. It looks like bass weather out there !  Where is our first November report?

Nothing for me this morning fighting that south wind.  Water was looking good even with the less then ideal conditions.  As reported above, saw some birds working off shore and a few gannets diving a bit closer.  Also a number of dolphin pods just off the ends of the rocks.  Snagged lots of sand bugs so was hoping fish would be nosing in the wash, but no such luck.  Will try to get out there again just before dark.  There has got to be something out front.
