What does MC55 think of the Vision Sand Eel (a.k.a the MC55)?

Vision makes both a Surf Eel & Sand Eel - look 'em up. Very different

Yeah I know. I just sounded funny asking the guy who destroys on the Sand Eel. If I were him, I wouldn't fish with anything else. He has it dialed in perfectly.

What would be the best thing to throw for blues tomorrow morning off the surf at sunrise? Is it worth it using dead bait with a couple surf rods?

I would suggest metal, hopkins, T-hex etc. Anything will work. Also, if I had the chance to go tomorrow morning I would be fishing just BEFORE sunrise. Hopefully you give a report tomorrow that begins "...bent rod....screaming drag...tight line...." good luck.

Mullet fished on a mullet rig. If that doesn't work try hand grenades.

Cranking a heavier crippled herring in pretty quick.

I use 4oz to keep it down in the water column, but keep speed.  I'm usually fishing heavier current at the inlets so your mileage may vary.

That's why I asked him. If he prefers the Sand Eel then why does he prefer it?

Nice first striper!!

I'm curious as to the teaser that MC55, or anone is using.  What size hook is that and are you buying or tying your own?  Thank.

I tie my own. Clouser minnow seems to be the ticket for me. replicates sand eels or spearing.1/0 hook.
