Yes I withdrew my offer, I feel bad that the owners car was flooded in the storm but this car was not even close to the description in the original post. I inspected the car and found the engine and transmission were both underwater. Also the new parts that were said to be included would now be an extra $1,500 on top of the $500 for the car. I want to give everyone that is interested a true description of what is there so they know what to expect.

Please if you u say u will take it and will pay the next day, be respectful and give a prompt phone call as to your intentions and not wait over a week
to "think" about it.

Best,

Bill

Agreed. I was at the house ready to buy the car. Mechanic claimed he said he was going to buy it and he had first dibs. He actually was quoting bst rules even tho i said i was gunna buy it first. when i was at the house we got mechanic on the phone and i told him i would like to buy the car but ill give him the opportunity on first dibs just bc im a nice guy. He said he was going to buy it and bring money the following day. Based on the phone convo i had with him, i withdrew my offer. The owner of the car called me earlier this week and told me he was a no show. I am no longer interested in the car but on a matter of principal im telling the story

Very true but when we spoke on the phone i explained that the parts werent included and that the engine was under water. I then asked you if you are still going to buy it specifically "not pending inspection". You said yes so i left the house

Thats nice flee, however- "The engine and trans were out of the car and not under water"

under water? not under water?

It was underwater. I was quoting the original post that says it was not

Are you serious. Here is your quote. "if the motor and trans work ill take it for asking". The engine and trans where under water, they obviously are not working. You want the car go get it. The bottom line here is that it was misrepresented right from the beginning, not just the engine and trans but now it's $2,000 for what was listed, that is what the owner told me TONIGHT. If you want to be cute about it, I will take the car as listed with all of the new parts for $500, owner already declined it. There is nothing left to say about it. You want the car stop complaining and go get it. As for you Billy77 next time you call someone a ****** on the phone, have the balls not to hang up right after you say it.

You guys are complaining about something that was misrepresented. I should be the one pissed that I wasted my time going there. Just buy the car if you want it. Case closed.

Mechanic...U R a nutcase!!!

U have no respect in your failure in getting back to people when U state u will as shown in previous posts. U r an ***** in my book. So when I gave u a courtesy call tonight in regards to finalizing the deal that should have been done over a week ago, u were too concerned with my home phone being blocked. I wanted to get right to the point and not rehash what was previously gone over. I have balls and your more than welcome to come and see them personally pal.

If u were so pissed that u "wasted" your time seeing the car why the heck did u post u will take it and pay the next day??? I can be a real jerk and complain to Moderaters on the games u play.

I'm not sure what part you played in this, whether you are the 3rd party who it was posted for or a friend but if you ever threaten another member here again you will be removed. If you are not interested or are the original starter of the thread you have no business in here what so ever.

If you are the third party of whom this thread was posted then you should have done it yourself.

From the pictures I see it most certinally looks like the motor was either left out in the rain or was submerged in water. Rust like that just don't happen. Sorry bit I've been tinkering with cars since I was 12 and can tell the difference between parts that have been left outside vs parts kept in a dry garage.

This thread is done and the car is no longer welcomed to be posted here.
