cj7fisherman
Im soo sick of the wind! I primarily fish buzzards bay and usually can find a time that I can deal with the wind and waves. Saturday morning I got there at 6:30 am and the winds were already SSW at 18 mph steady! I tried to go anyway but I got soaked and was cold so I headed back in after about an hour. Im thinking of giving up on yak fishing for a while and buying a sail for my hobie instead. At this point I havent been able to fish my areas since early may. FishRatz
But...SW winds bring the fish in from southern waters....sure beats having it blow NE which drives everything away. Find a place that suits your vessel, or your shore fishing and you will do just fine. Â BTW, I hear the southern Cape beaches are on fire now with bluefish in SW winds. Bass are likely below the mess somewhere close.

JohnnyD111
the SW wind has been munging up a few of the south side spots and a few spot around mass maritime. Â But for the bay, it has been decent, all it does is bring the warm air in. Â
cj7fisherman
It also can make it tough in a kayak. I actually like a little wind (-10mph) cuz it keeps me cooler, but its been white cap conditions almost everytime ive gone into BB this year. GeneralSwimBait
SW wind is spring runs best friend up this way. Get a boat if u don't like paddling much easier not to mention more comfortable. Plugworx508
