I guess if it is legal size then no problem. Live Scup is great bait.

I used scup a few years ago when the minimum size was less than it is now. They are deadly on big bass. We would launch from Bass river, load up on scup at the tire reef and run to Wasque. The best part about using scup was they would naturally swim right to the bottom, where the bigger fish would be waiting for them.
