Little
Lead singer for the Ohio Players died today. When I was first dating my wife, I was out on a Funk "nostalgia" type tour as Stage Manager, 1995. It was Frankie Beverly, Ohio Players, Cameo, and Earth Wind and Fire. We ended in Montgomery AL. I got her to come down for the show and we were going to Saint George Island for a few days after. and right in the middle of the Ohio Players set she said she was sick of being there (loud, smelly, cant see the show) and was going back to the hotel. She gave me a kiss-and it was one of those kisses. I went from interested to bowled over and have been there ever since. And I always thought I had Foot to thank for it. Thanks Sugarfoot. The hits were good, but they had some deep funk, good band Fopp! “My happiness is not the means to any end. It is the end. It is its own goal. It is its own purpose.” Ayn Rand
