What is it?

I'm getting shipped south next week (work), like way friggin south and am wondering what the income tax rate is.

I have a Ct. W4 form in my truck, but I am much too lazy to read it biggrin.gif

Depending on circumstances, I may be need recommendations for some flee bag to shack up in a couple nights a week to when I receive exact locations.

Depends on your income and how you file, assuming you are single could be 5% -6.5% in that range.

Worry not! the property taxes are so high that you won't have anything left to be taxed....

BTW.. almost all Federal deductions apply to state. The total taxable income you  claim is actually pulled off the irs 1040. It still adds up though. If you get a copy of this years forms/  tables it should not be too hard to estimate what it will cost you. Auto's are taxed in most towns here too... about 2% of their value where I live. Worth checking property tax rates before you settle. Ironically, Greenwich has some of the lowest, and Bridgeport is on the high side.

Married, 1 kid. I'm not moving there, just working.

I gave the deduction chart a glance and it looks like the markings of a headache. Not big into paperwork

Form your own church or get ordained by an existing one.

You could probably find one on the internet, maybe even eby?

Then you will be a pastor, and no need to pay taxes anymore.

Your welcome!!!

And yes, this is legit.

If you end up near Greenwich take a room in Port Chester NY. Lost of choices of motels and tons of fairly good cheap eats as well. (shoot me a pm if you end up in Greenwich Stamford area)

Chev,
I work all over the states and also in Europe. My company pays me as if I am working out of my home location all the time. See if they can do that option. Much easier.
