mmac0405
This reel is amazing only had time to throw a couple 3/4 ounce diamonds and 2oz plug at a local pond just to test it out and this reel cast retrieve is very good I love it cant wait to catch some stripers on it
The Riddler
Thanks for posting about this reel. I'm a fan of low profile and have several curados for the salt and always looking for something salt water worthy. For that price it may be worth the chance. BrianBM
Chark loves it, but he's a helluva salesman and loves Daiwa almost as much as he hates Shimano. (I'm on his site a lot, bought some stuff there over the years .... including a customized Newell 540 currently being enjoyed by some fishing thief, dammit) . I don't believe the 22 lb claim in the least, but neither does it matter; all the Daiwa product I own (Sealine900H, Daiwa Coastal baitcaster, a levelwind 50H, etc.) has been excellent. For what a baitcaster does, it should be fine. Give us a report, please, after you've used it for a season.
TJones
I have this same reel, except in a lefty... It casts really well and very smooth feeling. Love the power handle also, feels great. I like this reel better than my curado 301e that I used to have. Have only had it for about 2 months though, so jury is still out on longevity. Won an auction for $150 shipped on the bay, TOUGH to beat for that price!
hpettus
Hey guys, I am looking at this reel also, when ordering how do you determine the lefty which is what I want.
