dschaufler
I'm looking for a surf rod for my wife. She currently uses a 550ssg and a 9'0" Salt Striker rated 1 to 3oz. She likes the weight but wants something longer to improve distance for her. I believe a 10' is as big as she'll go. I plan on mating it with a Spinfisher V 5500. Light weight is important , as well as $$$. Thanks.

wwzesq
I bought a 120 m for my wife over the summer. She loves it, most versatile rod I ever used.

wwzesq
Its a 10' rod built on a Lamiglas GSB 120 1m blank. It will throw a 1oz bucktail reasonably well, yet still throw 4 oz plugs. Great sensitivity with braid, yet has enough backbone to turn the head of any fish you will catch off the beach.

d64519
Tsunami Airwave 10' 2-4. It is super light, loads easily, and will go down to 3/4 oz no problem and we've even chunked with it, my girlfriend loves hers. We have a Battle 5000 on it and it balances nicely. That's what my daughter has... because she stole it from me. I had it re-wrapped in fluorescent pink and blue. She uses a Spheros 6000 or a Baitrunner 3500B on it... both filled with Fireline 30lb Original. "We eat cold eels and think distant thoughts" Jack Johnson. Surffishinfiend
I will also recommend the Tsunami Airwave. Very lightweight and can really sling some plugs(that's all I've used with mine, so far). I also have a Tsunami trophy, a little bit more stout, and I use that to sling bait.
