Charlie G
Really being it only my second year at this I haven't found what works just right for me. But I have been using zip lock plastic bags duck taped together. And also a C&F box.
sidelock
You can make your own bugger barn for a fraction of the cost ! Art supply stores carry the exact same box (clear) as the bugger barn for under $10. All you need is to source out some dense foam & slit it with a sharp rasor . "I know ", i put three of them together for less than half the price I paid for one "bugger barn"
sidelock
My post should have read " Bugger Beast " instead of bugger barn.
WishinIwerFishin
I was going to buy the C&F boxes but instead I baught the replacement faom for one of the big fly boxes, not sure what brand it was. But the two sizes fit just about perfect the Plastic cases my Springfield and Smith&Wesson 1911's came in. I havent been stopped with them yet but when I do I'm sure they'll think I'm packin' but I'll just let em' know they'r just "weapons of bass destruction"! JRT
I use flat polly sleeves and put them in clear hard plastic boxes . just wondering how others do it I use poly sleeve/ziploc bags to. Its the only way I've found that doesn't cause rusting hooks or flies getting tangled. I put them all in cheap pencil cases that you can get from any stationary store for $1. Steve Schullery
The most important thing is to never return a used fly directly before rinsing and allowing it to air dry well. Freshly used ones go in a pocket. Steve

TLDig
i'd like to say that i have them perfectly organized by size and color in various flat hard sturdy cases that would keep them from being bent. i would like to say that. truth is i have them stored in zip loc baggies, in boxes, in plano cases, in pockets, in hats, sticking out at various angles from my vest (some that are permanently stuck and others that are not) and generally anywhere else i can find a place to stick them. which can be challenging when you are wading topless. Ack. Foo. I want to die from a good old fashioned case of living.
