sad sight. looks like someone fishing found it. looks pretty beat. may have been from getting tossed on the rocks, or maybe it was caught in a gillnet? i'd heard a few have been tangled off chatham, but no confirmed casualties from that...either way, the link is for a picture gallery that this guy sent in to WBZ.

Imagine how he's going to twist that story when he shows this picture to his grand kids....

Clearly, he landed and bested that beast himself.

I think that I would have attempted a tooth extraction, not everyday you run across one of these.

I have to admit I possibly would have tried if I were there.  It's dead anyway...

Seeing this pic, I'm not sure how the harbor master (or who ever the local law agent was who made the statement) believes the tide will just come and take this carcass back out to sea....

PS - I wonder if they sliced that belly open, whether a seal carcass would fall out...LOL

Fellows, let's be reasonable, huh? This is not the time or the place to perform some kind of a half-assed autopsy on a fish... And I'm not going to stand here and see that thing cut open and see that little Kintner boy spill out all over the dock."
