camper electrical problem

I have a Lance camper that when I run the generator, nothing works. Indicator light on panel says Gen is on. When I plug unit into normal power supply, everything works ok. Last week, microwave would stop after 2 minutes and be dead. after a couple minutes, power would come back on. I originally thought Microwave problem, but saw no AC going to refrigerator when generator was on. Anybody have any ideas about this? Thanks, Joe.

Not familiar with your camper but step one would be to make sure the generator is putting out proper voltage. If it is, follow the wiring to the transfer switch that switches between generator power and commercial power. You said everything works OK on commercial power so the trouble has got to be somewhere from the tranfer switch back towards the generator.

Check the seperate breaker on the generator. I have a built in Onan in my 5th wheel. a similar thing happened to me. It's like the vacuum cleaner won't work nd no one checked to see if it was plugged in. I hope that's all it is.
