For jigging, I have not found anything even close to the sensitivity of a (Mook) PacBay, Breakaway, or Rainshadow. I use a Rainshadow 1208 SU blank.

My Lamiglas XRA 120 5 feels like fiberglass w/ mono compared to the others, but casts much easier.

The only conventional reel I would use in the canal now w/ braid is a Daiwa Saltist 20 or 30 (levelwind).

allstar 1209 if u can find one also check out the cts pj 1008 3-6 oz. its super light, i had all the above and went to lighter blanks, its tough jigging all night with a heavy rod. but u might want to go spinning if your going to throw big plugs also

Yes, the (Mook) All Star blanks too....a little higher quality than the PacBay. The 1209 is a real back breaker, even as a spinner....

I take it the CTS blanks are no more 'sensitive' (for jigging) than the Lamiglas, St. Croix or old Kennedy Fisher blanks?
