I have collected most of the early Field and Stream, Outdoor life, Hunting and Fishing, and a few other magazines with covers that relate to surf fishing and striper fishing. I have about 30-35 total and most of them matted and framed. they make great art for the wall! The illustrators of that time period were amazing.

Most of mine are matted and framed. Hard to get a good picture of them, but here ya go:

  This is a pretty vivid account of what it nust've been like for the guys braving that area with nothing more than a jonboat.  We have it so easy

That boat is actually the predecessor to the modern day Boston Whaler. I forgot the whole story behind it, but the design for the Whaler came from it.
