Price of fish...

I'm not talking about the ultimate cost of the fish we catch when you figure, fuel, bait, tackle, etc. Fish market prices. I was at a farmer's market --- sea bass $21.95 lb. icon24.gif

Black Seabass is so good I'd almost argue it's worth it.

Sb is one of my favorite fish to catch and eat, but I will not pay that price.

I once bought a mack to use as bait from Stop & Shop
it really wasn't even "bait" grade

Not black sea bass...unless it was a stupid error on shop rites part. I"ve seen a few steals at the sea food dept but not like that. icon24.gif Black sea bass on average runs around 18.99/lb. Its delicious but IMO its flavor is not so complex and deep that one should be paying 20 bucks a pound for. Especially considering you don't know how long its been dead.

Awesome produce and some good items in the dry section. Still rather go to a farm, farmers market, fish monger or catch it myself.
