What the eff do you mean "IF"? Frigging guy is going the wrong way on a major divided highway and killed someone, and you are deciding IF charges will be filed? cwm13.gifmad.gif

Theres been 2 accidents on Rt. 3 in recent times (one was just 4 days ago) when a car crossed the median and hit oncoming traffic. Neither of the drivers were charged and rightfully so...they both suffered from a heart attack and were unable to control the vehicle. It sucks being in an accident like that but it's no one's fault really.

I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that the odds are really against the 26 year old wrong-way driver having a heart attack.

I agree, plus the fact that the driver was going the wrong way. I feel terrible that a good man's life was wasted so needlessly for no purpose. Nothing can fix that now.frown.gif

So true. A needless loss of life. frown.gif

Late last week another wrong way driver could have taken a life. Unfortunately, no one was injured as no accident occurred.

This driver was going the wrong way on Memorial Drive in Cambrige. Driver was a newly minted SP, and was stopped by two fellow SP's. WBZ reports no arrest was made and no breathalizer was administered. WBZ reports that an internal SP investigation is underway.

had a cousin (now deceased) who was a mass state trooper in the late 50's early 60's.
he was driving (patrolling) south on rt. 1 (a divided highway), in lynnfield, ma, going up a hill, at twilight, when a car, driving north, in the southbound side, crested the hill and totaled the cruiser my cousin was driving.
this was in about 1963 or so, he was in his late 20's/early 30's at the time and lived as a paraplegic for the rest of his life, about 15 more years.
don't remember if he was married or had any children.

Troopers, God Bless them for all that they do, have an extrodinary high rate of being hit by other vehicles.
