I've never heard of nor seen their stuff, so I can't comment on the equipment.
When I bought my first fly rod, almost thirty years ago, I went with a beginner level Orvis rod. Partly because I didn't know any other brands, and partly because their flagship store is nearby. I have never been sorry for that decision, I still fish that rod occasionally, and have a few higher priced rods, Orvis and others, that don't seem that much better quality.
The point of my story is buy something inexpensive, under $150, for your first rod, and see if you stay with the program. If you become addicted, then you'll buy many more rods to play with.
