After camping this weekend at elk neck state park our report is about 30 white perch in the susquehanna above the 95 bridge, all very shallow like less than 5 feet shallow, 2 channel cats there also. and on the banks of elk river we caught a few more perch a 14 inch largemouth and a nice yellow perch, all in all a good trip for the family! The perch we caught bottom bouncing white jigs and everything else was caught on rattle traps. There must have been a bass tournament there or something because there were a lot of tournament bass boats going in and out of tidings. I also saw about 100 boats on the flats i dunno if they were bass fishing or if they were striper fishing even though its closed? If they were bass fishing its news to me that largemout are on the flats?but hey you learn somethin every day! Oh and wind stinks!

 went out today and tried to fight the wind on the flats and the wind won, then we headed up the river to try for some perch but that really wasnt happening either. We ended up cathcing about 10 perch and only one keeper. Wind was so bad we had 1 foot waves 100 yards off lapidum landing! I dont know if it was the front that has moved in or the wind that had the perch turned off but they werent biting. Oh and 300 to 400 yards south of lapidum there is a giant unmarked rock ledge be carefull especially if anyone is new to the area like me!

Has anybody had any action on the flats lately? We caugt a few about two weeks ago and havent been able to go since. Just curious if theres still fish in the neighborhood?

i fished from shore today for a few.  The water was very high and extremely dirty.  Lots of debris floating around.  haven't fished here in over a month.

picked up a 12" smallie, that was it.

conditions probably will be like this for a little while with the rain from up north and the Conowingo releasing water.
