Swivels are tough as the piece you're tying to isn't fixed... it helps to "peg" it first with a thin hammered- in (somewhere) nail!
To turn the improved clinch into a Trilene knot you just go through the eye twice instead of once. Anytime you double up regardless of knot used your connection will be stronger .I find it not necessary on most knots, even the improved clinch has been fine when tied once.
If i am skeptical and really want to be sure i'll use the San Diego Jam knot, which is also a variation of the clinch(an upside down clinch) but stronger.
