Is there any news on the dredging?

The dredging is done. The false hook and the rips are open again. I saw that all the northern lots are reopened.  Now we wait for March.

Apparently, Sandy Hook is still closed from North Beach to the rip. This is not good. I won't need to spring for the parking permit if it's closed for the early spring and then shut down again for the plovers. Any info?

The website http://www.nps.gov/gate/index.htm had a warning in red on the home page stating it was closed a few weeks back. This warning is gone and a buddy was out there so yes it is open again.
