I've been hearing a lot about the T-Hex lures lately so i picked up a 2 oz Black/crystal and a 2oz regular one and i was wondering what is the most productive way to fish these? On the bottom immitating sand eels or in the middle of the water column? And do they produce at night? Any feedback or shared experiences would be great

I fish T-hex 3 ways one as you mentioned dragging right in the sand maybe a bounce or 2 along the way

two I reel in just fast enough to keep it off the bottom while jigging slightly

three Speed demon to keep it on top

I also fish my t-hex's with a teaser,often when I'm on fish I get 2 at a time.

Rule of thumb a T-hex will fish like a bucktail wit a jigging motion.

As for their catch ability I've caught ton's of bass on my T-hex's I've also caught blues, fluke and in the fresh I've caught trout, smallmouth, walleye's,and crappies on Steve's creations!

I Love T-hex's!!!

I find that they work best with moving water and current, keeping it just off the bottom. If there is little or no current, i try and reel fast enough to keep it off the bottom. Also did well one morning giving it some big raises of the rod tip....1 to 2 feet. Fish would hit on the rise. A teaser is a must in my opinion.

And yes they do work at night.
