Dubbing went to the heavy side layer this year after 16 years of providing excellent black or white whiskers for my bone fish shrimp patterns. She loved to watch my bobbin spin around hooks and snorted the aroma of lightly cured buck tails. Her favorite toy was an arctic fox tail or dropped hackle pliers.

There was a little photoshop touch up on that second photo.

Hi,

On a can of Plasti-Dip that I have since many many years, I read a notice about "brushing" the product where it is stated that they recommend a particular but perhaps cheaper alternative to their Plasti-Dip Thinner:
"PLASTI DIP Thinner (if not available use a quality grade of lacquer thinner)"
I did so and it works! As indicated on the lacquer thinner can, it contains toluene, methyl ethyl ketone and methanol.

Christ man, thats a deadly trio.....In my youth, I used MEK to make silk screen printing inks, Toluene, to clean down laminating machines and Methanol to fuel my speedway bike......Wouldn't go near any of them now.....If I were you if that's what is needed to thin down plasti dip, i would chuck it out once it started to thicken up.....Alternatively try some softbody instead, this can be thinned down very easily with something a little less potentially toxic....water

Petegray - I especially appreciate the nomex flight gloves. Your posted picture made my day.
