5 Foot Bullshark caught in Hudson River!

Just heard about this... Very cool! Was caught in Bergen County area..

That aint a Bull Shark. Nose & Dorsal are to pointy. It's likely a Brown. There's plenty of the around the area.

I caught planty brown sharks...doesnt look like a brown...is that black tips on the pectorals?

That is not a Bull or Brown shark. It looks like a sand bar shark. More common down south. I landed a few of these off the beach in NC.

That's a common brown shark...Brown Shark=Sand Bar Shark, taxonomically speaking at least. Same species.

Given the sinker size relative to the shark be hard pressed to break 4 feet.

down south there is different names for sand bar sharks...doesnt mean brown shark in all states...its not a brown

never saw a brown with black tipped pectorals

its not a bullshark, nose tooo pointy the shark is a brown shark, when they are pups they have black tips like that and can withstand freshwater/brakish water during their pup years.
