Naked Women and Servicing Your Gear

For the past two years I have been spending most of my yak time with my 11 yr either in our tandem or with he in his llbean yak, which has kept us close to our service dock limiting the catch to porgies, fluke, cocktail blues etc.

I am not complaining as he's getting to be quite the angler, and I love our pre-yak planning conversations about the tide, what bait is in the water, where shall we troll v drift etc.

I've been thinking about kicking things up a notch and making some solo runs on more challenging excursions and trying out the tube-n-worm rig. Which is what I did yesterday. He was at his cousin's house.

For the most part, the fishing stunk and at one point, I switched to drifting for fluke among a few boats, and we all seemed to be skunked. The highlight was the nearby boat. My yak was in a slight different drift which is the way I like it, keeping my distance, but I did notice two boats getting close together. One boat was a couple, late forties I would say. And the other boat were two similarly aged guys. The husband was busy about the boat in between checking his line, while the wife was fishing and making small talk with the other boat as it neared, and the conversation confirmed what i was just starting to make out - in a german accent the women adds, "you gentlemen don't mind that I am nude. I like to be nude"

Yup, a nude angler. In the middle of the day, at the mouth of the harbor, in a popular fishing ground. Boobies and bobbers.

The funniest was one of the guys responds, "I didn't notice, we are all here fishing" and they continue the small talk, albeit the boats drifting just about 10 feet apart.

It wasn't long before my drifts took me a hundred yards apart, but I would look up and chuckle at the rotation of fishing partners who would join her drift.

As time passed, I began to focus more on my quest and the skunking that was becoming my day.

Eventually, I started my way back to the launch, I finally hooked up on the tube and worm, likely a large blue, but it could have been a striper, as it lit up the reel taking line before I could get into position and set the reel.

At this point there are two thing running through my mind, one how exciting it was to hook up a large fish again, and secondly, was that my reel was in need of servicing since last year and I had been putting that off for too long. The drag was messed up and the braid was several years old.

The reel was fine for cocktail blues, but I had to max out the drag to keep the line from letting out trolling with the larger tube and worm, which made it too tight when I locked it to set the hook.

Even with the very tight drag, she was still taking a little line, but since I was on the yak, the 50lb power pro was more than enough to bring the boat to the fish in the sleigh ride.

As I got close though, my medium/heavy rod went tip down, and when the fish made the turn to pass under the yak, is when the power pro snapped.

I am sure as I tell this story, that fish will become the legendary moby dick of the long island blues.

But for the meantime, I'll get that reel serviced, tie a few more rigs and have some more learning experiences before the fall run. And who cares if the water is still too warm,

we have nude fishing woman in the harbor

Boobie and Bobbers

No wonder yer a mod! Very funny.

On a serious note, dont underestimate the T and W. It works, and if you or yer gear aint ready you will miss out.

I sometimes troll 2 lines when its slower and the only time its become a cluster F is when I have the T and W out because if a fish DOES want to eat the t and w always gets hit.

Good story.

I almost killed myself and my fishing partner years ago in the last stink boat that I owned. I was flying down the Delaware with the 75 horse Johnson open, when 2 young ladies decided to flash us from a yacht that we were passing. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that I was drifting into their wake, and we went airborne. Definitely a buzz kill.

I was drifting by an anchored sailboat early one morning, and out from the hatch popped this semi-naked woman.
She was on the north side of 65 and must have weighed 250. Her boobs looked like a golf ball in a tube sock. Just my luck.

In my experience, the women who are cool with being seen naked in pubic are the women you don't want to see naked at any time.
