HELP! Where can I buy sushi kits?

The girlfriend is big into Sushi, recently got me into it as well. The other day she mentioned she'd love a Sushi kit so she can make some at home (or at least try to! ) I thought it'd be a good last-minute Christmas gift idea.

Problem is, I can't find them anywhere!!!

Anybody know locally (RI & MA) where I can get something like this?

I've been to the chains (Target, WallyMart, Home Goods, etc) but no luck.

Any ideas???

No, just the big chains. Honestly, I wouldn't know what an Asian Market looked like or where one would even be located?

Ask your sushi restaurant if you have a favorite one. I get fish from the place we go to and I'm sure they would hook me up with a "kit" if I asked.

I believe I have seen them in Wegman's markets if you have one near you. Also have seen one in a large bookstore, that had the mat, nori, fake wasabi powder and a book. Also check Amazon on line.

I get all my sushi stuff (nori paper, sticky rice bamboo mat, fish sauce, ginger, wasabi) from an Asian Mkt on Green Street in Worcester, Ma. About 75% less than what it costs in super mkt.

If this is what you need...I got this set years ago.
They might have a newer version out by now.

Try the big box bookstores that begin with "B"in the cookbook section. Duh.

Some of the bigger supermarkets or fancy joints might have nori sheets.
Althought, it's more fun to find and explore real Asian markets for fixings.

This is awesome! I would never think to look in the Bookstores. If nothing else, I'll take a ride up to Worcester (thanks bob_g )

Thanks a lot guys.

Seen them in most grocery stores: A&P, Wegmans, ShopRite.

Just wanted to give you guys a shout back and thank you all again!

I managed to find quite a few at the Big Bookstore. They ranged from $7.99 to $30.

Happy Holidays!

Now you need a source for quality nori, rice, vineger etc...
