AMMO
I had Sea Robin once. Two meaty filets in that tail. It was simply thrown in the deep fryer, no seasoning or anything. While I never found myself craving for more, I would not hesitate to make a meal of Sea Robin, especially if I were hungry. MUCH better than Bluefish! I think flaking that white meat in a salad would have been a better choice! Talk about a taste that you crave, try Spearing, fried in oil, in a Wok. Drain 'em on paper towels, just like french fries ....they taste like fish 'n chips rolled into one! YUMMY! (You know they are done when they turn golden brown ....anything over 4" is bait. The Fishing Nerd
My kids actually love spearing - any time we get the chance they make me drag out the seine net so we can grab some. If you're a fan, next time you've got some extra - dry 'em off a bit, shake 'em up in some seasoned flour, and freeze them. They'll be ready-to-fry fish sticks. The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli.
VOVO
I have ate sea robbins on several occasions a simple breading or flouring salt and pepper and fry them like fluke. I have also made them into fish tacos equally good tasting. They are a flakey white meat.
RedJeep
I had some at a holiday party, years ago. The sea robins were smoked, and tasted like any smoked white meat fish would. As for something good tasting, I would have to go with deep fried eel. You eat them like corn on the cob. Surfrat666
I don't know about the "lot of meat" part, but they are good eating. I did tiny snappers once in seasoned flour. Dropped my nephew at the docks to snapper fish while I worked on my boat. Go over there an hour later and he has a bunch of the smallest snappers I ever saw in a bucket. Seasoned and fried them whole, best bluefish I ever ate. Fishalicious
Fish a LI Northshore beach with a tin lately and you'll catch all the sea-robins you could possibly want. Better yet, bring some kids with you and let them do all the catching. "Some people are immune to good advice." - Saul Goodman

The Fishing Nerd
The bones in the spearing are so small you won't even feel 'em. Similar to that of an anchovy, except the spearing aren't as fishy (since they're not as oily). Really - for all intents and purposes, a french fry with less carbs and a fishy taste to it.
