Sluggo Vs Hoggy's? - Page 2

"Reported Attack Site!

This web site at ---- has been reported as an attack site and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Attack sites try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.

Some attack sites intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners."

My previous experience with this type of attack is one where some Chinese engineers set up a porn site that operated during the night and shut off when the real site owner (a car dealership) opened for business.

My security system blocked a virus risk on the Hogy site, too. "Bloodhound.PDF.13" which was described as a "Heuristic virus".

Don't click on the link unless you have a security program enabled--in fact, I'm going to delete it.

Just as an FYI Al, the site management doesn't allow posting links to commercial websites to start with--it's not fair to the site sponsors who pay to advertise.

Yes--a jighead works fine in place of double hooks on any size plastic, especially if you are targeting legal size fish. A big fish has no problem eating a large plastic, but your hook size is not adequate for the size fo the plastic. Upsize the hooks!

I fish jigheads almost exclusively and fish Hogys. Hogys and Sluggos are both very effective and I think the choice between the two is usually based on fishing style, not lure effectiveness.

Hogys are a bit tougher and usually last for a few more fish than sluggos. I have been fishing the 14s with a single hook jighead and that has been very effective. Overall hogy has more rigging options and styles. The 10" jigging hogy is a great jighead bait, but I use the regular ones on jigheads too.

I visit the Hogy website almost on a daily basis and yesterday was the first and only time I saw that a message came up about this. My computer detected "malware" so I kept away. Nothing there today though.

Someone asked in another thread as to where you can get 11/0 Owner offset worm hooks and the Hogy website is the easiest place that I can suggest.

I USE SLUGOS,HOGYS & RONZ,all good.different sizes & weights for different presentations.
I like the smaller slugos up to 7'' and the bigger hoggys.
still think its 90 percent fisherman 10 percent lure

Hogy the way to go, especially for tandem rigs.
On the other hand, errr hook, I like Sluggos on an Umbrella rig.
I like them both...

I use sluggos with the tandem hooks with insert weights or no weight at all for dead drifting.

I prefer Hogy's when I use jig heads or wobbleheads because they are not nearly as stiff as sluggos and I think you get better action. Especially with the Pt. Jude or Hogy wobbleheads when it's basically a straight retrieve.
