striperking70
I love the troublemakers and was just wondering if anyone knows why they are no longer made. IMO his work is top notch a very well built plug that holds up. Thanks for any help.
levari
He released one batch that was bad and people never forgot and kept complaining. So he probably got fed up and stopped making them.

Texican
Never owned one. I have heard great things about them but they are way out of my price range .
John P
I have a number of surfsters and had one that wasn't sealed properly and split the paint after the first use. I still use it and it catches fine, just not as pretty as it might be. I don't know if others had the same issue. JP

TheSpaniard
I heard otherwise to what has been posted here in this thread and if you use the search option you'll see the reasons posted a while back. I had a few of his plugs and they were great. The small Danny he made was IMO the best small danny out there. I know he had a bad batch of plugs hit the scene and yes guys here and elsewhere never let that go but from what I saw that was not the reason. It may be hard to believe watching guys like Troublemaker and Twisted walk away but they are people like you and me and sometimes it works out for the better for them. I'd hope one day they both come back but if they don't for whatever reason thats ok too. John Create instead of living off the buying and selling of others....... Luds48
There was a nightmare batch that the finish literally started to bubble as soon as the plugs saw water. Definitely too bad that they are no longer made. I can't think of a swmmer I have more confidence in. Glad I have some to last me a while.

RussSommers
I am not sure about the reason for the guys from twisted walking away, but all I can say about them is that they used some really awesome components and spent a lot of time making each plug, even at the price point they were able to achieve, they still couldn't have been making money. just my $.
swhitworth
I have been told by people "in the know" that twisted is finished as far as commercial selling goes. There have also been several post on this website from the makers saying the same. You may be able to get them to make you something if you are a friend, but that's probably it. NIGHT STRIKES
Twisted is all done making plugs? I didn,t know that. That was the word after Asbury back in the spring, but you never know... *We have lost alot of custom plugbuilders over the last couple of years for one reason or another and its quite a list.. Looking forward to seeing what alot of the newcomers to the scene come up with over the off-season....
Ba Ba Buoy
Yer right. I can think of a bunch that have gone out of production recently. Bad new for all of us really. Troublemaker Big Don's (at least temporarily) Twisted Plugcaster Gary2 Jay1 (at least temporarily) All great plugs.......
