Picked up some of these 5" salt/pepper/fleck from charkbait recently when i ordered my avet. Pretty cool, I guess its a west coast thing but it looks like it would work out here. Available in 5" and 7". They also have one that has molded jighead that replaces the head. Can't wait till next season!

Who made the first flounder jig. Was that a Al / Lou product?

I'd think those would catch if you sort of jerked them across the bottom.

Don't you guys remember the Petri fish ? Were available in some larger sizes
that would make sense jigging them while drifting an inlet. I will post picture when I get home.

Petri fish was the flounder bait the surfcaster used to carry, right ?
I always wanted to try them out.

Whatever happened to the Petri Fish?

I've never seen anyone use one...

Sorry, I forgot to list the info about them....they're made by Kustom Kraft on the west coast.

Hogy makes a great one. I rig it with a jig head or on a drop shot rig. I think they are coming out with a smaller version next year too.

Maybe more of a boat lure... ?

I wonder if it would be good dragged near the bottom in an inlet...from a jett, of course

Just another one of those lures that I will always consider using, but most likely never will...
