You mean this? Now I suppose you need to know how best to fish it? Ask away.

Gdamit, I type to slow.

Best after a strong N'oreaster. Flip that baby out, reel in slowly and hold on tight!

now's the time to use it

I just checked mine while cleaning up today, some of the mono has weak spots in it, sorta looks like the clam tried to eat though the mono

rookie move... use wire leader material

Perfect weather for it.
I tied mine on yesterday, put some cleats on and ran back and forth from the base to the jetty to the tip.
Bass clearly thought it was a school of clams.
18 bass to 23lbs and two 4 headers.

I hear they are coming out with a rod specially built for using the clambrella rig

Think I could replace the mono with braid? It would lower the weight, and make it more aero dynamic right?

so how would i tie one up and rig it?

I like to pre-soak my clambrellas. This stuff works wonders. Soaking really help create a nice slick around the base of the jetty.

Wheres AdrianF. He the resident expert of fishing the clambrella

I like tying directly to my leader, becuase if you add a swivel then you run the risk of the swivel sinking into the middle of the rig and getting knotted up with the rigs. I go braid to leader using a half hitch tied with a saftey on each side then the leader to the main line of the clambrella rig using a water knot or square knot and a touch of JB weldbond just incase they want to slip in the water.
