Anyone watching MSNBC just now - Page 2

Just watched Olbermann "correct a commentary" after the fact to "be fair to Obama".

What anchor or reporter does counterpoint for the opposing party?

Sad what's happening over on MSNBC

Seems to me we've had eighteen months of fairness to Obama. I miss the Huntley Brinkley days. Walter cronkite was too lefty for me.

Newt always thinks good & fast on his feet. I wish to Kee-rist he was the Republican candidate for Prez. He'd of ripped rip Obama a couple of new ******** in the debates. He's the Mohammed Ali of fearless, straight-faced, quick witted politcal repartee.

(And, since it's an Electoral College contest, and not a popular vote contest, I do believe Newt would have carried every single Red Sate, bar none. But, water under the bridge, as they say. Pity. )

Apparently they ALL have too much baggage. Witness Palin.

Newt would have been more than smart enough, and articulate enough, to talk rings around his critics. Like I said, a more charming extemporaneous speaker you'll never find.

Hahahaha, did you see Lieberman's interview with Joe Scarborough?

Scarborough's toeing the MSNBC line so closely that it's almost painful given that he was previously a republican.

Watching MSNBC tonight after Thompson spoke, they went to Olberman. He says " well that speech was very militaristic wasn't it Chris," they then show Chris Matthews who looks like he is spaced out on drugs, very funny material.

It made me laugh I felt like I was watching SNL.

On the other hand at least MSNBC showed the speech by McCains former co-POW, while Fox news was promoing some **** or another.

I would rather watch a true American hero ex POW speak and then laugh at the 2 idiots Olberdork and Chris matthews than listen to Hannity.

Fox NC dropped the ball, and they cant even approach the comedy level on MSNBC

John,

Here is the print version of the interchange between Newt and the msnbc reporter.

MSNBC's Ron Allen said to the former Speaker, "But to be fair, her resume is not something we're familiar seeing with presidential candidates."

This didn't sit well with Gingrich who strongly replied

"It's stronger than Barack Obama's. I don't know why you guys walk around saying this baloney. She has a stronger resume than Obama.

She's been a real mayor, he hasn't.

She has been a real governor, he hasn't.

She's been in charge of the Alaskan National Guard, he hasn't.

She was a whistleblower who defeated an incumbent mayor. He has never once shown that kind of courage.

She's a whistleblower who turned in the chairman of her own party and got him fined $12,000. I've never seen Obama do one thing like that.

She took on the incumbent governor of her own party and beat him, and then she beat a former Democratic governor in the general election. I don't know of a single thing Obama's done except talk and write.

Newt then challenged Allen:
I'd like you to tell me one thing Sen. Obama's done.

With that, Allen retreated, and said:

Thanks very much, Mr. Speaker. I'm going to leave it there. I'm not going to argue the case. Thanks very much."

This may go down as the quote of the turning point for entire election season!

Cnn and msnbc are killing themselves attacking Mc Cain and Palin!

It is a Beautiful Thing!

I dont get it...Its obvious the major news stations are biased one way or the other.

Who cares about a reporter? They arent running for anything..

Is this some sort of "party" win for telling off some scrub?

If you say something loud and often,
it doesn't make it true.....

the alaska National Guard comment reeks of desperation.

Experience WAS what McCain was selling,
and he tossed that issue out the window.
