Best glue for auto exterior

Maybe some of you guys have expertise on this - I have a side strip of tough but flexible white rubber/plastic that came off the door of my jetta. I glued it on with a cement product but after about 9 months it has come off again. What would be the best type of glue for this?

3M and others make a double sided trim tape just for auto trim.

the 3M double sided tape is the way to go , check the auto parts store by the paints and bondo stuff. I used it on my daughter's Jetta trim and it holds up well. make sure you clean off all the old adhesive though.

Yup 3M red label tape, make sure you wipe both car and molding off with rubbing alcohol or 3M grease and wax remover before putting tape on molding, then put some pro bond or 3M adhesive promoter on the car, you should not have any problems.
