Is it true that you can't get a town of oyster bay beach permit, if you are not a resident. I have goten one every year and I herd you can't now. Please let me know.

Yep......that's the story.....no non-resident permits. Do a search here under Tobay and you'll find a very in-depth discussion about it.

I'm a TOB-er and I have the permit, but I know a few out-of-towners who got one and won't say how...

And now he's trying hard to get it back. Or so he says.

Tobay allowed Nassau county residents to obtain permits in the beginning of the year Jan.1 2004 and stopped it. I don't know the exact date. then it only issued pemits to residents. so you will find some non-TOB resident with 2004 permits.

Snagger,

Actually, I was referring to some Suffolk County residents who were able to get the permit...maybe they have friends in TOB, who knows....

Whats LIBBA doing about this, They fought for Babylon Beach Access. Why not Tobay?

IMHO, the person most responsible for the TOB not giving permits to out of towners is now championing the fight to get it back, what a guy.
