After reading for three days I don't have any clue as to what's a good tire to buy for the Sequioa. They came with Michelin but with 23,000 miles the tread is worn pretty good already.

No off raoding. Primarily for driving and beach riding. Want to perform good in snow and quiet if possible.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Only 23,000 miles on a set of Michelins? Something don't sound right, I had a set of Michelins on our Exploder and gave them to my brother and they have to have 60,000 miles on them. Our Bronco has the same tires and they have about 45,000 miles on them. Did you rotate them every 5000 miles? Check your tire pressure regularly? Alignment OK? Anyhow, we went with Pro Comp AT's this time on the Exploder and love them, they are the best riding tire I ever had on a buggy, they handle well and stick good in the rain, chugg along smartly in the snow and do excellant on the beach. We have had tires that seem not to like riding any distance when aired down on hard pavement, but it was more of a sidewall problem. The Michelins would get aired down and driven for two weeks straight on the road in Hatteras every year and didn't object at all, my vote would be for the Pro Comps or another set of Michelins.

I'm surprised you didn't go to the buggy forum . . . here's my most recent take on tires . . . Can't say enough about these babies icon14.gif great street handling, quiet, phenominal in the rain (and I mean heavy tropical rain stuff here). Glowing reviews by others who've purchased them as well.

Also, the prices can't be beat, service was good, delivery in 2 days.

I buy all my tires there for all my cars. HappyWave.gif

I had a Jeep GC Limited that came with goodyear wranglers . . . never had a vehicle/tire combo that gave me more flat tires. So many that Ijunked those Goodyears (and I had been a life long goodyear customer up to that point) and shod it with Michelin LTX's. No more problems after that.

I had the exact same issue just last month with my Sequoia. Asked alot of questions and got a good deal on Firestone Destinations LE's. AWESOME on wet roads and this is our family vehicle and not for the beach [yet].

Firestone got alot of bad press due to the Ford Explorer problems and they're trying to do the "right thing" with these tires.

I wouldn't put Goodyear Wranglers on my Jeep if you gave them to me for free - three flats in less than 6 months. Switched to BF Goodrich AT/K - 5 years and 40K miles later they look new, with a better ride and quiter.

America, the country so great that even its haters refuse to leave.

I have the same truck and put the Michelin Cross terrains on it. icon14.gificon14.gif

The truck spends quite a bit of time off road when I go hunting and fishing and the tires are great. I get better mpg and they are quiet on the road as well

If you plan on driving in lots of snow then the bridgestone revo's are also really good. the Michelins would be fine for NJ snow though.

My friend out in Reno has a sequioa as well and he has the Revo's and likes them and where he goes the snow can get up to 18 FT eek.gif at times around lake tahoe
