fishchile
Sent to me by a friend from NY. BIG COYOTE New York State Record WOW! How many deer do you figure this guy took down? N.Y.S. D.E.C. game commission officer Robert Doe confirmed that this was indeed a new New York state record coyote. Its official weight was 115 pounds, it is a very large male and was shot this (2005) regular deer season just out side the town of Hilton. It has been spotted on several different occasions chasing deer & livestock, dogs, and cats. "Nick did not like to fish with other men on the river. Unless they were of your party, they spoiled it." canyondiver
I hear that Robert Doe guy is always passing the buck!! That is the biggest coyote I have ever seen! I wonder if we can get some material for flies Proud to be a NERB and I have the shirts to prove it!!
fishchile
My Uncle killed and brother has in a taxidermy shop a 65 pound male. I thought that was huge. A coyote 110 pounds would not be nice around kids. "Nick did not like to fish with other men on the river. Unless they were of your party, they spoiled it." Vinny
Check Snopes. Last time I saw this, I did. It's a wolf/dog hybrid. It was neutered. It was shot in PA, not NY. Conjecture was it was a pet that got loose.

squidlips
Times like this, I miss GOS. That photo would have been good for a three paragraph rant that included yotes, guns and damaged snarkleys. this has to be the most disrespectful and disgusting thread I've ever seen posted

Conjecture was it was a pet that got loose. It looks more wolfen to me. What is Snopes? Does this mean I can relax when Turkey hunting now? I have had plenty of determined coyotes the last couple of years stalk me while calling fall birds. They can get pretty close prior to being detected and they always seem to approach from the rear or flank. The coyotes don't bother me, turn around look at them they generally run off for a bit. I know that would probably not be the case with the critter in the photo or a wolf. "Nick did not like to fish with other men on the river. Unless they were of your party, they spoiled it."
