Gag's Grabbers Mr. Bunker

I got a couple 1-1/4 oz Mr. bunkers and are they used more in the back bays in shallow water or off the surf? The package says if your on a boat to cast and let it sink to the bottom and snap it up 3-4 feet and let sink. Repeat 2 or 3 times then retrieve slowly. Most strikes will happen as it is falling. For the surf it says if are feeding just cast and reel quickly and if not cast and slow the retrieve down. Is this lure more for the bays at about 5-10 feet of water (or more) or can it pretty much be used anywhere. Has it been a productive lure for you?

Thanks

Use it wherever you find peanuts whether it be the surf or bay or an inlet or off a bridge, wherever. The lure (rat-l-trap style) is versatile, and can work in numerous applications. I never had that much success with the lure with stripers, but weaks and blues hit it just fine. I'm sure you can get some bass on it, but for me, it's not one of the top lures I go to in my bag.

Sea robbins love'em. Fluke like' em too.
If you need to fish medium to the bottom when peanuts are around they work good.
So do Wildeyes.
I like rattletraps better in fresh but I have them im my bag.
