I met a lot of South Korean Vietnam Veterans at last year's Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the NYC Vietnam Memorial and this year's Veterans Day Parade. There were over 250,000 South Korean troops that served in Vietnam. There were some South Korean troops on my base in '69. There also were 60,000 Australian troops who served in Vietnam.
From today's NY Times:
"Warning that famine in Somalia is likely to get worse before it gets better, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton yesterday pledged an additional $17 million in U.S. aid to East African countries racked by the worst drought in 60 years.
The money comes on the heels of a $105 million relief package President Obama approved this week, bringing the level of U.S. assistance to the Horn of Africa to $508 million."
Hot SH*T! Where is this money coming from? Yet many of our politicians want to cut our Veterans Benefits. If we don't take care of our own, who will?
