  • What I do for a living:
    work
  1. Thanks for all the input guys. Getting a few estimates this week and next. Can't wait til this job is over!
  2. I take it you live in the area? I grew up in Kearny there.
  3. Wow! That is so disappointing. When I got out of the navy and came back to jersey, I moved down to Monmouth county. I had heard they closed for a bit cause the owner died. Haven't been back since they reopened. After talking you about to the other night, I googled and read the whole story. Guess they aren't using the same recipes. Sad to say the least. Yet one more thing in that area lost. Sorry, bud. I had no idea.
  4. Thoughts and many prayers for all today and in the future.
  5. The first step to anything is admitting there's a problem. You can run around and make a thousand excuses as to why, but there's still a problem. Home grown, radicalized, blah blah blah.... The picture above is the perfect example. That woman strolled on by looking at her phone as if nothing was going on... meanwhile there was a woman laying on the ground potentially dying. Yeah, it may be the radicalized ones carrying out the attack, but where are the masses standing up? We hear every single freaking time we have an Islamic terror attack, that it's a religion of "peace" and that these terrorists are simply "hijacking" Islam. Then when the hell are Muslims as a whole going to stand up and take their religion back? We have how many nations worldwide involved in the fight on terror? Yet, all the people in these areas are fleeing to the places that are actively combating this group of religion "hijackers"...
  6. I was looking into a commercial stove, but apparently there's a ton of things that go into it as far as code goes and I heard that God forbid you ever had a fire, insurance could be tricky.
  7. General rule... the dirtier the place, the better the food! I go with the Moo shu, either pork or shrimp.
  8. Love pork belly!!! Usually pick up a few lbs from the local Asian market and smoke it, but on occasion use it in pork buns with some peppers and hoisin. You really can't beat it!
  9. The wife can have her cabinets and granite, I'm mostly concerned with the range and oven. Who's cooking on what? Pros and cons...
  10. The place on 3 is still there, they just redid the building. Much more modern now. I was actually at Pizza Town a few weeks back. Another good spot.
  11. The pizza is amazing! If you ever watched the Sopranos, Pizzaland is in the opening credits.
  12. This weekend's pizza on the Akorn. Broccoli Rabe and sausage, white pie with clams and bacon, and bolognese with cherry peppers.
  13. Denino's - Aberdeen Benny Tudino's - Hoboken Pizza Land - Kearny My kitchen - Hazlet
