  1. The US has 5% of the worlds population and 25% of the worlds prison population.
  2. This just in; http://www.**************.com/2012/05/07/air-force-stealth-fighter-jet-flaw_n_1494880.html?icid=maing-grid7|main5|dl4|sec1_lnk2%26pLid%3D158477
  3. Click below. Old Planes wear out. Thee newer planes are structurally sound. "The Air Force's 224 newer F-15E fighter jets do not have the same flaws and have been returned to service. This week, the Air Force returned 261 F-15 A-Ds to service after they were cleared for flight. "
  4. Really? Which plane is it's equal? TIA ‎ "The F-15 in all air forces had a combined air-to-air combat record of 104 kills to 0 losses as of February 2008."
  5. I don't have the budget in front of me, but I would have shelved the F22 program. The one or two "opportunities" we had to use them, we didn't, plus the plane it is to replace is still the best fighter in the world, after the F22. Surely, there is a ton of other unnecessary spending or we never would have got to the 2/3's of a trillion mark.
  6. Did you see the chart in the Link? How big of a cut would be required to make us a second rate military.
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_military_expenditures Is that really a necessity?
  8. "Times, they are a changin!" 9 tax increases for St. Ronald. They'd give him the "Ron Paul treatment" if he espoused those policies, today,
  9. For the same reason affirmative action is lauded but racial bias or discrimination is called evil.
  10. Facts are funny things. Sometimes they don't prove hat you want them to. In the Govts case, they just disregard them when that happens.
  11. Florida did that. The testing lost them money and they found a whopping 1% who failed, No Savings Found in Florida Welfare Drug Tests - NYTimes.com www.nytimes.com/.../no-savings-found-in-florida-welfare-drug-tests....
  12. From the article: "While the strategy calls for lesser reliance on imprisonment for drug offenders, it also calls for increased "community corrections" surveillance of them, including calling for expanded drug testing with "swift and certain" sanctions for positive tests. But drug testing isn't just for parolees and probationers; the drug strategy calls for expanded drug testing in the workplace, as well." Why? As you personally know, certain jobs require testing for drugs and other issues such as medical conditions are deemed required for public safety. If all the jobs that require testing are already testing, why is there a NEED to increase testing.
