  1. I went to a nudie bar this weekend. One of the girls came over to me and asked me if I wanted a "dance". She said they were $600 for an hour and $300 for a half hour. I laughed and talked to her for a bit. I thought she was kidding but she said she had just gotten done doing one for $600. I asked her how much she got to keep and she said $450. She acted like she was mad about that and I said where else can you make $450 an hour? LOL! Which brings up the subject- who would be dumb enough to pay that much for a "dance"?
  2. I want to relate what happened to my sister about a year ago to the day. She passed in a hospital in Omaha, Ne. with her children and grandchildren by her side most of the time. She had signed up for organ donation while she was alive. I don't know if her kids knew about that or not. Her son was with her when she passed and freaked out when the hospital personnel wheeled in a gurney to take her body away to get her organs. I think the nurse was helping them keep track of when she passed. My nephew wouldn't let them take her and stayed with her until the people he wanted to take her arrived. She had told them that she wanted to be cremated and her ashes scattered near a fishing spot in Minnesota she loved to go to. It was a pretty bizarre thing to hear about when I went to her house after it happened. I post this so you may be aware of what happens if you sign up for organ donation. I can understand why they're in a hurry because they only have so much time to harvest the organs.
  3. I've always liked to get those mags but they haven't been at the Barnes and Noble stores for months now. I tried to call their office but the message said that the number was out of service. They have a facebook page that says they still have new editions. Does anyone see the mags over there?
  4. otter- is that guy from Mass still soliciting you these days. That was the first time I ever saw two guys (gays?) doing that out in the open. You guys were ahead of your time!
  5. I ate some bad hamburger from one of those stores in Shrewsbury. I started throwing up after a few hours. The puke was black and I was sick and couldn't eat anything the next day. I stayed home from work from Monday to Wednesday. Didn't go to the doctor though.
  6. How are you going to see movement at night? You can't see nothing in the woods.
  7. Well, I guess I won't be able to use the headlamp for shooting at night. I went to a range (alone) out near the Missouri River bottom tonight. Noone else was around. I was able to see the target the first shot but couldn't see anything when I tried it again. I'm gonna get a smaller light that's strong as I can get and just duct tape it to the rifle. I put my bigger light on the target and saw it clearly. Had a kinda scary experience as I was finishing up though. I was taking some of my stuff back to the car and I heard something walking in the brush next to the range. I know that there's a bobcat that lives near the range but there's also a bunch of coyotes too. Not to mention a possible mountain lion from the nearby bluffs. Kinda hesitant about going out alone anymore. heh heh
  8. I'll test it out in the dark next week. It snowed here last night but not too long so I hope it melts away pretty fast. If I wear it on a baseball cap will that block the light from the scope? Can you mount the lights on a bolt action 223 rifle?
  9. I got a 1,000 lumen headlamp today. I think that'll be a game changer. I can't get anyone to go out with me but now that I have this I can keep a light on the target and still use my rifle.
  10. Too windy and cold today to take the videocam. Walked around the river bottom for about a half hour but didn't find anything.
  11. I actually thought I had gotten COVID. Another one of my nephews died of it during the Pandemic. He couldn't breath but didn't want to go to the hospital. Locked himself in his bathroom but finally gave in. The doctors couldn't do anything for him and they put him on the respirator. Put him under and he never woke up again. His wife told them to take the tube out because he had heart attacks and his kidney went out. Some of the family members watched him kick around when they took the tube out. Funny thing is...I never really got scared but I did think that this may be it.
  12. Bad news. Hope Ditch pulls out of it. My sister died a year ago yesterday. She lost all control of her body and really suffered with that tube in her throat. Never really found out what happened to her. I think she knew what was wrong but didn't want to tell me.
