  1. I have a quarter pound of lead ice jigs. I'll throw them away and use the tungstens. I may never see walkable ice again anyhoo
  2. I like yellow or white on my thumblelevers, you can see how badly you are laying it on in the dark a little better
  3. Year old frozen squid on the bottom works for me Jimmy, at least for skate. Sea robins are fiesty, Ive caught a bunch on tin.they come up barking at you
  4. Time to upgrade Jimmy. In 1938 Penn introduced the Squidder Maybe try one of these new fangled ball besring reels. Mine are from the 60s, but still used for chunking for skates and sea robins.
  5. Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs
  6. I had a pair of PVC tubes hoseclamped to the front forks and wedged behind a metal basket that sat in front ot the handlebars. The basket held my plugbag. It worked out great. Just watch out for overhanging tree branches
  7. My Fathom 12 is lightweight, I guess. But my Honey Lami is far from lightweight. Both do their job. I guess I should go weigh them so I'll know if I should start complaining.
  8. Can't take the cold anymore If anyone needs anything drop me a line, flasher. Sled, Eskimo hub, Mickey boots. Its all gotta go
  9. 1-5Linesider69 darter, yellow 6. Superstrike 2 3/8 ounce popper, blue 7. NTA Custom needle, eel 8. Atom A40. Blue swirl 9. SP Minnow, green or blue mackeral
  10. I tend to use my Lamiglas SB121-3M honey with a Newellized Squidder, 80lb PowerPro Super Slick and about 12 feet of 60lb Ande leader mono. Heavy gear is a must when targeting large skate, spider crab, and sea robins.
  11. “Oh Daddy, that song makes me cry” The Darlings always made me smile, especially Charlene.
  12. I plugged for years with thumblevelers. Used PowerPro from 50 to 80 lb test. I wouldn’t go below 50 due to the danger of slicing your thumb on a surprise hit. Keep the braid tight on the spool and cross it up faster than an Abu would
  13. Take the old stretchy belt that came with the waders you bought twenty years ago. Sew one end to the back of the bag so that it teaches over the flap. Sew another chunk of it to the bottom of the bag. No wave is gonna open the bag ever again.
  14. I stopped using eels when I thought about the fact that I was killing one animal to catch another that I was going to release anyway. Plugs are less effective, but also less hassle.
